Welcome to Carlow's Achievement Tracking ePortfolio (CATE)
For Students
CATE helps you understand and reflect on your educational experiences, see the connections between and among the disciplines in a liberal arts education, collect significant academic and experiential work in one place, develop long-term goals and plans that give coherence and direction to your education, and demonstrate mastery of the key skills and knowledge that are built in to the Carlow educational experience.
For Faculty and Advisors
CATE provides an instrument to interact with students around their academic and personal goals and achievements as they build their bodies of work. As advisors, you can provide prompts that give kudos for work well-done as well as use the documented evidence of skill levels and abilities to aid in the advising process.
For Assessors
CATE provides a means to examine academic artifacts in aggregate form to aid the understanding of Carlow’s collective progress towards our stated learning outcomes.
For the Public
Students may have granted access to certain of their academic and personal artifacts to assist in their processes of career search and planning, internship placement, or graduate school admission. Simply search by the student’s properly spelled name and select the appropriate template. If you are able to view an artifact, you will see a link called “View” to the right of the artifact which you may click on to open a Microsoft compatible file. Access is on a case by case basis and may be revoked at the student’s discretion.
